I love this shaver!!! It replaced a Braun Activator 8595. The Pulsonic shaver is quieter, smoother and definitely gives a closer shave than the 8595. I don’t know if it’s because the blades are moving so fast or the vibrating action or both, but the shave is very smooth with no sense of the beard hairs being pulled or disturbed in any way. It definitely cuts faster and closer on the neck, which was always a problem with the 8595. I also seem to have less skin irritation after shaving. The unit is well made and fits nicely in your hand. Also, the shaver head seems to be larger than the old Braun and swivels more to better follow the contours of your face.
